The Process:


For the first stage EOT require a list of architectural and structural papers of the property to be licenced, these papers are stamped and deposited to EOT.


EOT will arrange with you to visit your property to check the building against the plans.
When (if) the plans are approved you will get a conditional pre-approval, and then asked to submit the second stage papers which mostly pertain to you, the owner. In effect when you register with EOT you are registering a business.


In the last years many people have let their holiday homes without having the necessary EOT licences but also the Greek authorities started to check advertisements and owners without having this licence received hefty fines. So please be on the secure site.


The Price

EOT Licensing is a complicated bureaucratic, time consuming process. In fact we can organise and manage the whole application process.

If you are not resident in Greece, and/or do not speak Greek, we will carry out the process and liaise with G.N.T.O. on your behalf.

The normal charge for an E.O.T licence is 5,000 euros, including the architectural plans and EOT payable fees. In the case of a complex of houses in need of a licence, the total amount of the payable cost, per house, will be less.

However, there will be other extra costs required of the purchaser e.g. (Fire extinguishers, emergency lights, exit signs etc.). These requirements are essential for the licence and to ensure you are running a business according to the safety regulations.

Once you have obtained an EOT licence it is valid for 5 years. The costs involved in renewing the licence after 5 years are minimal.
